Mudras
Using Mudras in a Reiki Healing Session
The following three mudras are taught in my Reiki One classes.
Sha
On Ha Ya Bai Shira Ma Ta Ya So Wa Ka
Rin
Interlace your fingers rogether and extend the middle fingers of both hands and place them together. This mudra is called Rin.
Use the Rin mudra when you need additional Power, Strength of Mind and Strength of Body. Use whenever you need physical, mental, and/or emotional strength.
This mudra is most associated with the Reiki symbol "Cho Ku Rei".

Kai
Interlace all your fingers together and press the palms together. This mudra is called Kai.
Use this mudra to help clear your mind and to still your thoughts. When performed correctly, you will be able to sense all that surrounds you, including the ability to sense danger.

Sha
Begin by interlacing all your fingers together. Now, extend the index fingers of both hands and press them together. This mudra is called Sha.
Use this mudra for Spiritual healing and to bring the spiritual light into your healing sessions. This mudra is the one most often associated with the Reiki "Dai Ko Mio" Power Symbol.
The extended fingers are used to gather up the energy that is wtihin the body and to direct that energy, through the fingers, in a focused though to affect the healing of a particular are of the body.

Kai
